GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES

2010 SUMMER ORCHESTRA CAMP

 

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

 

  1. Attendance and records will be kept for all rehearsals by the orchestra manager. 
  2. Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to rehearsal downbeat for personal warm-up.  Rehearsals will start promptly at 2 p.m. (Saturday) and 7 p.m. (Wednesday). 
  3. All rehearsal absences must be reported in writing.  If you are going to be absent, you must fill out a form at rehearsal or report absences on line at www.classicalsymphonyorchestra.org under “The Musicians/Protégé Member Information Page.”  Unexpected absences only should be reported by calling the office (312-341-1521) the day of rehearsal.  Unreported absences will affect membership in The Protégé Philharmonic.

 

MUSIC:          PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS CONCERNING                   ORCHESTRA MUSIC PARTS!

 

  1. Each player is responsible for music assigned to them.  Players will be charged for music not returned.  All music is the property of The Protégé Philharmonic.
  2. Any marks in the music should be made with a soft lead pencil (#2) and never with a colored pencil or pen.
  3. All music parts must be returned after the respective concert.

 

CONCERT DRESS:

 

Ladies:

  1. WHITE short or long sleeve blouse with modest neckline

(No sleeveless, please!)

  1. Black skirt (below the knee) ordress slacks (No leggings or capri pants)
  2. Black dress shoes or dress sandals (no flip-flops)
  3. No jewelry or perfume

Gentlemen:

  1. White short or long sleeve dress shirt (no jacket required)
  2. Dress black pants
  3. Black bow tie
  4. Black dress shoes, black socks

 

REHEARSAL AND CONCERT DATES:  All rehearsal and concert dates, along with their locations, are listed on the reverse side of this form.  In addition, all members are required to perform at special concerts and special events that may be added during the Season.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE PUNCTUAL!

 

Please keep our facilities and home of The Classical Symphony Orchestra and The Protégé Philharmonic neat and clean.  Use trash cans provided for paper trash. 

 

ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD, DRINKS OR SMOKING IS ALLOWED WITHIN OUR FACILITIES.
